Zepto Ki Food Business Licence Suspend Hui – Maharashtra FDA Ka Bada Kadam Dharavi, Mumbai Mein

1 June 2025, Mumbai: Maharashtra ki Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ne Zepto ki parent company Kiranakart Technologies ka food business license Dharavi, Mumbai mein turant prabhav se suspend kar diya hai. Yeh kadam ek inspection ke baad uthaya gaya jahan kaafi serious violations paaye gaye Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 ke tahat.

FDA ke officials ne jab Zepto ke Dharavi facility ka inspection kiya, tab kuch shocking cheezein saamne aayi:

• Food items mein fungal growth
• Products ka storage clogged aur stagnant pani ke paas
• Cold storage ka temperature norms ke mutabiq nahi tha
• Wet aur gande floors jahan food items direct zameen par rakhe gaye the
• Expired aur fresh items ka clear segregation nahi

Yeh action Minister of State for FDA, Yogesh Kadam ke dwara provide ki gayi information ke base par liya gaya. Inspection ke baad Assistant Commissioner (Food), Anupamaa Balasaheb Patil ne turant suspension ka order pass kiya under:

• Section 32(3) – Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006
• Regulation 2.1.8(4) – Licensing and Registration Regulations, 2011

Zepto ka license tab tak suspended rahega jab tak woh full compliance nahi dikhate aur licensing authority se approval nahi le lete.
