India Ka Solar Mission – Manufacturing Capacity 125 GW Tak Badhegi!

India ki renewable energy sector ab ek naye phase mein enter ho rahi hai. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi ne March 29, 2025 ko announce kiya ki India apni solar PV module manufacturing capacity ko 125 GW tak expand karega 2030 tak. Yeh announcement Gujarat ke Degam mein Waaree Energies Limited ke naye 5.4 GW solar cell manufacturing plant ki inauguration ke dauraan kiya gaya.

Aaj ke time par, India ka installed solar power capacity 102.57 GW hai (Feb 2025 tak) aur solar PV module manufacturing capacity 80 GW ke aaspaas hai. Yeh mission, 500 GW renewable energy goal ka ek hissa hai, jo India ki energy security, job creation, aur import dependence kam karne ke liye crucial hai.

• Installed Solar Capacity: 102.57 GW (Feb 2025 tak)

• Solar PV Module Manufacturing Capacity: 80 GW (official report)

• Solar Cell Manufacturing Capacity: 25 GW (jaldi 40 GW tak badhne ki sambhavana)

• 2024 ke reports ke mutabik: Kuch sources module capacity 65-77 GW tak bhi batate hain. Yeh discrepancy measurement aur planned capacities ke farq se ho sakti hai.

     Jobs & Economy Boost: PLI scheme ke under 1.95 lakh direct aur 7.8 lakh indirect jobs create hone ki umeed hai.

Government Ki Pahal – PLI Scheme Ka Bada Role

India ke solar manufacturing expansion ka sabse bada pillar hai Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme.

🔹 Total Budget: Rs. 24,000 crore
🔹 Implementation Phases:

• Tranche-I (Rs. 4,500 crore): 8,737 MW ki fully integrated manufacturing units allocate ki gayi.

• Tranche-II (Rs. 19,500 crore): 39,600 MW ka allocation ho chuka hai. 65 GW per annum ki manufacturing capacity achieve karne ka goal hai.
  🔹 5 saal tak incentives milenge, aur yeh technology-agnostic hai – iska matlab manufacturers naye naye innovations adopt kar sakte hain.

Additional Government Support Measures

         Basic Customs Duty: Imported solar cells aur modules par duty lagayi gayi hai, taaki domestic production ko promote kiya ja sake.
         Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM): Sirf India-made modules ko certain projects ke liye use karne ka rule, jo local industry ko fayda dega.
         State Policies: Rajasthan jaise states ne Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024 launch kiya, jo 125 GW renewable energy capacity target karta hai.

Challenges & Opportunities – Kya India Ready Hai?

        Challenges:

• Polysilicon aur wafers abhi bhi mostly import hote hain.

• Chinese manufacturers se price competition tough hai.

• Infrastructure aur grid connectivity ko aur strong banana hoga.

        Opportunities:

• Backward integration se domestic component manufacturing bhi boost hoga.

• 2026 tak module capacity 150 GW aur cell capacity 80 GW tak badhne ki umeed hai!
